How do you know that you’ve educated your students successfully?
Students in OTS’s Neveh Shmuel Yeshiva High School, in memory of Samuel Pinchas Ehrman took the initiative of changing places with their kitchen and maintenance staff for the day. They surprised the workers with a day off – including a tour and lunch at the Gush Etzion Winery – while they took over the kitchen tasks and all the work on the campus grounds (and in truth – they didn’t too a bad job at all…)
The staff was overwhelmed and truly touched by the students’ gesture of appreciation. And we at OTS are immensely proud of the initiative, the caring, the thoughtfulness and the sensitivity of our students!
We salute Neveh Shmuel for successfully imparting these important values to their students, and of course we salute the students themselves for excelling not only academically, but also at the things in life that really matter.
