A Thousand Words – December 14, 2020

Giving is receiving…

Since the establishment of the “Yachad – Jewish Identity” program, Yachad Jewish Cultural Coordinators galvanize thousands of volunteers throughout the country to do good – and this year was no exception. Helping others is a basic value of Judaism, and it forms the basis of the program’s nation-wide Chanukah drive.

Thousands of volunteers enlisted to help prepare, package and distribute festive Chanukah packages to hundreds of needy families, the elderly and people in isolation – from the country’s northern border all the way down to Eilat. Door to door, building by building the volunteers lit candles, visiting, sang, and spread  bright Chanukah light. The smiles on the faces of everyone who opened the door was priceless.
