February marks JDAIM – Jewish Disabilities Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month. At OTS’s Elaine and Norm Brodsky Darkaynu Program, every month celebrates inclusion!

Darkaynu is more than just a program; it’s a transformative experience for young adults with special needs, providing them with a year in Israel just like their mainstream peers.  While engaging in beit midrash studies, immersive tiyulim, and strengthening their connection to Torah and the Jewish people, Darkaynu students thrive and grow through Life Skills classes and vocational placements that empower them for future independent living.

Volunteer placements allow all our students to “give back,” and this year, like everyone, Darkaynu students are going above and beyond—packing essentials for evacuees, assisting farmers, supporting soldiers on the front lines, and more.

in a world so desperately in need of unity and respect, Darkaynu students exemplify the beauty of togetherness, determination, and shared purpose.
