How do you celebrate your birthday? At the Jennie Sapirstein Junior High and High School for Girls, Ramot, Jerusalem, there’s a tradition: each month, all the girls who have a birthday go out to volunteer in the community together!
Yes, at the time most people expect to receive, these girls make a point of giving. Here are the girls whose birthdays fall during the Hebrew month of Tevet, volunteering at the Tachlit association, preparing food baskets for the needy and providing assistance to the infirm.
As you can see in the photo, they are very happy! And not just because of their birthdays…
