“…but you’ve risen above them all.”

Each week, students in Midreshet Lindenbaum’s Matat Branch in the Galilean city of Carmiel volunteer in a Hebrew language ulpan for new immigrants from Russia and Ukraine.

Each lesson is focused around a classic Israeli or Jewish song – enabling the new immigrants to build vocabulary, learn grammar, and adjust to Israeli culture all at the same time, helping them integrate more smoothly and feel at home in Israel.
