Jacob Sapirstein High School for Boys

Students from the Jacob Sapirstein High School for Boys in the Ramot met with Rabbi Kenneth Brander, President and Rosh HaYeshiva of Ohr Torah Stone and their high school principal, Rabbi Yuval Farjun, in the school’s educational greenhouse.

Established on the occasion of the year of the shemita, the greenhouse serves as a place for personal growth, as well as the study of the laws of the sabbatical year.

The students enjoyed an informal discussion with Rabbi Brander over pizza. In Hebrew, it is customary to say, “What is spoken in the greenhouse remains in the greenhouse.”  This special and beautiful learning space allows a sense of nature and openness promoting an opportunity for our students to unwind and grow.
