As they wrapped up their year in Israel, the students of Ohr Torah Stone’s Elaine and Noam Brodsky Midreshet Darkaynu capped off their year-long tradition of weekly volunteering and giving back.

This Photo of the Week captures the heartwarming final volunteer effort of Darkaynu, the only Modern Orthodox year-in-Israel program for young adults with special needs, as the young women spent a day at Yad Sarah headquarters in Jerusalem preparing crutches and other at-home medical equipment for Israelis in need.

As a population often on the receiving end, it was especially meaningful for these students to be able to support war-time efforts throughout this especially difficult and challenging year in Israel, exemplifying communal responsibility, unity, inclusion and respect.
