Running. Our Way.
Last Friday, students from OTS’s Elaine and Norm Brodsky Yeshivat Darkaynu and Midreshet Darkaynu participated in the Jerusalem Marathon along with over 35,000 people from all over the world.
Darkaynu is the only post-high school Israel experience program for young Orthodox men and women from abroad with special needs.
Our students welcomed the challenge! Because the marathon isn’t about being fast or being the first to finish, it is about facing challenges and always doing the best we can. With determination and persistence, they proved to us all that everyone – that nothing stands in the way of our will and that everyone reaches the final destination, even if we don’t all do it in the same way.
Most important is that our students were driven by the altruistic goal of raising funds for the Darkaynu scholarship fund – so that future students can enjoy, experience, and grow from the same unique year that they are experiencing right now.
We are so proud of you!
P.S. Thank you to all those who supported the team! If you would like to donate to the Darkaynu scholarship fund, here is the link: www.wizathon.com/team-darkaynu
