Our Moshe won the Jerusalem Education Oscar!
Everyone loves “Moshe Hashomer” – Moshe the Guard: the students, the parents, the educational staff and even the neighbors of our Jacob Sapirstein “Ariel” Junior High and High School for Boys in Ramot, Jerusalem.
Moshe arrives meticulously dressed and groomed every day about an hour before the start of his shift. He scans the school building and grounds and then returns to stand upright and authoritative at the gate, in cold and hot weather, to receive everyone who enters with a smile and a warm welcome.
For more than 15 years, Moshe the Guard has been the face of OTS Ariel; the first adult the students encounter every morning, his devotion and warm manner teaches them by example how to relate to others.
We are hugely proud and excited that Moshe has won the Jerusalem Education Department Oscar! Thank you to the Jerusalem Municipality and Manchi for the initiative and for the opportunity to honor our dear Moshe!
