Pnina Omer, director of Ohr Torah Stone’s Yad La’isha: The Monica Dennis Goldberg Legal Aid Center, spoke to delegates of the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW)’s “Looking to the Future” convention taking place in Jerusalem this week. The participants, hailing from National Council of Jewish Women chapters all over the world, were inspired to hear about what is being done in Israel to break the chains and find solutions to the tragic plight of agunot . “Finding a systemic solution to this issue will only take place if women around the entire Jewish world push relentlessly to eradicate the scourge,” Omer said.
