As 24 alumni families are busy settling in to their rabbinic and educational shlichut in locations across the globe, the Beren-Amiel and Straus-Amiel Emissary Training Institutes are already looking toward the next destinations.

This week, new program participants from the class of 5783 gathered at the Institute for an initial introduction to the staff and to one another. After the opening speech from Institute director Rabbi Eliahu Birnbaum, they launched into what will be a year of both fun and intensive study as they acquire the necessary tools and skills to make a difference in Jewish communities worldwide.
