Kudos to Shaked Eisman, an eleventh grader at OTS’s  Jennie Sapirstein High School for Girls in Ramot, Jerusalem, who proved this principle to be true through her incredible Purim initiative, which brightened the lives of tens of local Holocaust survivors.

Shaked envisioned delivering a mishloach manot package to each and every survivor on Purim, so that none of them would spend the day alone.  First she turned to the Jerusalem Municipality for a comprehensive list of those living in the city, then she galvanized her friends, who raised funds through donations and sales of services. With the money that was collected, the group prepared packages which they hand-delivered to the survivors during the course of the day.

OTS is extremely proud of Shaked and her friends. May they continue to grow from strength to strength, and merit to always be in a position to give of themselves for others.
