Meet Rabbanit Shira Lieberman, first-year fellow in OTS’s Susi Bradfield Women’s Institute of Halakhic Leadership (WIHL).
Shira lives in Tekoa with her husband Dan and three children, Alma, Hallel and Nahar. She came to the WIHL after working in the world of design; the beit midrash was calling to her after three years of advanced studies in the Migdal Oz seminary followed by advanced learning at Midreshet Lindenbaum.
“I joined the WIHL because I want to speak halakhic language,” Shira explains. “I felt that I and those surrounding me are disconnected from the world of halakha and that we have a crucial need to deepen the connection with halakha and create an organic connection between our halakhic lives and our modern lives.”
