Midreshet Lindenbaum Alumna Receives Top Honor

“רבות בנות עשו חיל ואת עלית על כולנה”

1st Lieutenant Y

Congratulations to First Lieutenant Y on being one of the 120 outstanding IDF soldiers to receive this year’s President’s Award for Excellence!

A graduate of Midreshet Lindenbaum‘s Hadas Torah/IDF Program (whose name was not authorized for publication), received her award from Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and IDF Chief of General Staffs Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi, in recognition of her significant service in the Intelligence Corps and her extraordinary contribution to the country.

Each year, the 120 “Mitztaynei Hanasi” –  the President’s Outstanding soldiers – receive their awards at a special ceremony at the President’s House on Yom Haatzmaut. This is the sixth consecutive year that a Midreshet Lindenbaum alumna has been awarded the coveted honor.

“Y is a serious, responsible and extremely modest young woman who is serving the IDF and the State of Israel at the highest of levels. She is sanctifying God’s name,” said Rabbi Ohad Teharlev, Director of Israeli programs at Midreshet Lindenbaum.   “At Hadas we train hundreds of women each year to synthesize between a life committed to Torah and meaningful service to Israel. Achievement in one area should not come at the expense of the other. “
