The couple was supposed to have gotten married on Tuesday night, but the groom was mobilized in the emergency callup. On Wednesday, his commander surprised him by granting him two days leave, but there was no time to invite guests to the ceremony.

But then our Midreshet Lindenbaum Overseas Program students got wind of the situation. They decided to get dressed up and go add spirit and joy to the special day of this couple, a couple they had never even met.

Mi k’amcha Yisrael? Who is like our nation, Israel?

Our beautiful students are proving once again that we are one people, one family, united in sorrow and in joy. Mazal tov!
