Points of Light: Cultivating Strength and Unity

At the various memorial ceremonies organized by our Monique and Mordecai Katz Yachad Program coordinators across Israel yesterday to mark 30 days since the horrific massacre, it was enough to look at the crowds to be inspired with hope during these difficult days.

Israelis of all backgrounds, beliefs and opinions and perceptions gathered together to pay respects to the murdered, pray for the hostages, and draw strength from one another.

The unique approach of Yachad, which emphasizes the unifying common denominator we all share, shines more brightly these days than ever. And yesterday, in the light of the memorial candles and through the tears of pain, we all felt together how important it is to continue to strive for unity and fortify our common future.
