A year of intensive study for post-high school women from English-speaking Diaspora countries, the Maria and Joel Finkle Overseas Program – Midreshet Lindenbaum‘s flagship program – provides an unparalleled Jewish learning experience, familiarizing students with the classic Jewish library in preparation for a lifetime of Jewish growth.
The program promotes discussion and debate in a supportive religious environment, emphasizing character development while deepening individual commitment to Torah and the Jewish nation as a whole.
In addition to high-level academic study of Talmud, Tanach, Halacha and Jewish thought as well as regular chevruta study, program participants also discover the land and people of Israel through organized outings and regular volunteer activity in the community.
The Finkle Overseas Program at Midreshet Lindenbaum offers select students an opportunity to become “Matmidot Scholars,” an exclusive opportunity to enhance Torah learning, writing, and leadership skills with a cohort of similarly motivated, driven, talented students.
A central feature of the program is the Monday night trips to the homes of influential figures to meet and learn from them in their own homes. In addition, Each Matmidot Scholar is paired with a faculty mentor who aids and guides her throughout a year of research and writing a serious Torah article.
