This year, TEAM DARKAYNU consisted of more than 90 Darkaynu students, mainstream peers, dedicated staff, friends and family who ran, jogged, and walked the marathon course along with tens of thousands of others.
Being part of a group so big and so diverse, surrounded by hundreds of others cheering them on, walking arm-in-arm with their mainstream friends and Darkaynu peers while proudly wearing their Team Darkaynu T-shirts is something our Darkaynu students will always remember. As they counted off each kilometer, spurred on by fans on the sidelines, they were invigorated with each step!  Jerusalem’s Jaffa Gate, the center of town at Ben Yehuda street, passing the Knesset and Old Rechavia….
Knowing that their training and perseverance was dedicated to such an important cause – raising funds for the program’s scholarship fund to allow others to also enjoy what they are – made everything even better.
We are so proud of our students — and they are so proud of themselves.
