HOW CAN YOU HELP 1 1Like everyone, we at Ohr Torah Stone are devastated by the tragic murders of Lucy, Maia and Rina Dee, Hy”d.

Many of you are asking how you can help.

Below is a list of ways your generosity will provide mental health support to the Dee girls’ fellow students, friends and community members.

Midreshet Lindenbaum – Lod

Maia Dee Hy”d is a beloved alumna (2022) of Midreshet Lindenbaum’s branch in the city of Lod. Her death is a shock to her peers, the faculty and current students.

Mental Health Training for Faculty Members to give them the tools to give crucial mental health support to current students and recent alumnae who were in Maia’s class at the midrasha.

Overnight for Students so they can unwind and process, connect strongly to the country and support one another through something integrally connected to Maia, who loved nature and the Land of Israel.

Neveh Channah High School for Girls

Maia Hy”d is also a graduate of OTS’s Ulpanat Neveh Channah, a girls’ high school in Gush Etzion. Maia’s bereaved younger sister, Tali, is currently a Senior at the school, which has been hit particularly hard by this horrific tragedy.

A Day to Unify the School Community

After such an intense period of mourning, Neveh Channah seeks to organize a day of fun and reflection for all students and faculty, to connect to the land of Israel and to each other.

Katz Oriya High School for Girls

Five hundred students attend OTS’s Katz Oriya High School for Girls. Many have grown up with the Dee girls and are friends of theirs from the neighborhood, the youth groups, elementary schools, extracurricular activities or camp. The tragedy hits very close to home.

Sadly, the student body of Gush Etzion is overly familiar with terror, bereavement, and the psychological and emotional distress that follows. Katz Oriya staff anticipate the need for an additional 50 hours of emotional counseling and support during this especially difficult time.

Your support will make a tremendous difference to so many of the Efrat and Gush Etzion teens, friends and community members close to the Dee family.
