A 30th-anniversary logo contest was held amongst students of all six OTS high schools, under the auspices of the Ann Belsky Moranis Program for Arts and Drama.
The judges, including Belsky Program faculty, members of OTS administration and staff, struggled to decide which of the 27 submissions best represented the festive spirit of this milestone year. The winning submission, below, was designed by Tali Miller and Michal Farkash, students in the Graphic Design Arts track at OTS’s Ulpanat Oriya for Girls, in Gush Etzion. It will appear alongside the OTS logo on all 30th anniversary material, including T-Shirts to be worn by OTS’s 3,000 students on a network-wide tiyul, rally and concert to take place in late March.
“The girls wanted to maintain the familiar elements and colors associated with OTS,” says Einat Feig, their teacher. “But at the same time they strove to illustrate that the organization is celebrating 30 years of impact. They wanted something vibrant to reflect both the OTS philosophy as well as their own youth, and they wanted to relay a sense of movement in order to hint at the revolutions that OTS has fomented over the past three decades, in so many spheres.”
We believe that they succeeded in reaching all their goals, and trust that they will continue to reach higher and higher. Kudos to all the students across the OTS network who participated!
